Created by wildlife filmmaker Ben Hamilton through years of collaboration with local scientists, divers, and storytellers, the film captures the intricate web that sustains life here. Sitka's Hidden Wonders is a natural history documentary film that showcases the breathtaking beauty and diverse wildlife of Sitka, Alaska. It offers a unique opportunity to learn about the local ecosystem and the fascinating creatures that call it home. Unlike so many films about Alaska that use material from across the state, Sitka's Hidden Wonders was filmed right here in Sitka and shares some of the most unique wildlife events that are only found here.
Our film shows at two downtown Sitka locations:
1. Coliseum Theater on Lincoln Street (Saturday-Sundays)
2. Harrigan Centennial Hall (Monday-Thursday).
Both are within a short walk from cruise shuttles and the center of town. Please check showtimes when you book to confirm which venue is operating on your visit day.
Yes, there is street parking available on days when the street is not closed downtown for pedestrian traffic. On days when the street is closed it's best to park at Crescent Harbor or Centennial Hall and walk.

We are proud to donate a percentage of our profits to support two vitally important local organizations: the Sitka Sound Science Center, who are at the forefront of critical research to understand this place, and the Sitka Conservation Society, who work to protect it.
We offer reduced ticket pricing for children under 13, Alaskan Residents, and Military.

Sitka’s Hidden Wonders has earned international recognition for its storytelling and cinematography. The film received Best Feature Film at the Wild and Free Film Festival, Best Cinematography at the Alexandria Film Festival, Outstanding Excellence from the Nature Without Borders Film Festival, Best Ecosystem Feature at the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival, Best Directing from the Environmental Film & Screenplay Festival, and Best Cinematography from the Wildsound Feedback Film Festival. It has also been an official selection at the Anchorage International, Friday Harbor, and Wild and Wild and Scenic Film Festivals.
