There's nowhere in the world quite like Sitka, Alaska. Four-thousand-foot mountains rising straight out of the sea. Whales, eagles, and brown bears sharing the same shoreline. Wild, alive, and deeply connected.
I fell in love with this coast nearly twenty years ago while filming here. And I've watched thousands of visitors arrive, catch a glimpse of something extraordinary — and leave before they really had the chance to feel it.
Wonder Journeys are about giving you the chance to connect to the real Alaska. 3-7 days, 1-6 people, fully private, shaped around your pace. Your own expedition fully heated landing craft. On the water at first light, reaching places most visitors will never reach. Time to witness unique wildlife and time to experience true exploration with your group. My hope is simple: that you leave with a connection to this place that lasts long after you're home.
We have a handful of experiences open still in 2026 and are taking bookings now for 2027.

Not Your Typical Alaskan Experience
Most visitors experience Alaska from the deck of a ship or a 3-hour excursion window. Wonder Journeys give you something most Alaska trips never do: real time in the wild. You spend 6–8 hours out every day, exploring remote beaches and wildlife habitat most visitors will never see, with a guide and an expedition craft dedicated entirely to your group. Every itinerary is built around you. And each night you return to your own bed ashore in Sitka — rested, comfortable, and ready for whatever the next day brings. Unlike a cruise, accommodation is not included. You stay in your own hotel or rental in Sitka, which guests often prefer to sleeping onboard a moving vessel.
* Pricing is based on group size. Four guests: $750/person/day. Five guests: $700/person/day. Six guests: $650/person/day.Groups smaller than four are welcome. The minimum trip cost is equivalent to four guests regardless of party size.
* Accommodation is not included. We help source housing in downtown that allows you to walk to the dock and food options in town.
* Lunch and snacks are included daily. Dinners and breakfasts are not included. Sitka has excellent restaurants within walking distance of the harbor and we're happy to make recommendations.
